My math fest

This year’s School Math Fest was unforgettable—not just because of the puzzles, games, and equations everywhere, but because my friends and I added our own delicious twist to the event. Instead of just participating in the usual competitions, we decided to set up a small dessert corner, and it quickly became one of the most popular spots at the fest.

I took charge of making cake pops, which turned out to be both fun and messy in the best way possible. Rolling the cake into tiny balls, dipping them into chocolate, and decorating them with sprinkles felt like creating edible artwork. It was even more entertaining watching people try to “calculate” how many cake pops they could eat or how many would fit into different shapes—only at a math fest would snacks turn into math challenges!

My friends made the most adorable cupcakes, decorated with colorful frosting and little edible math designs. They looked like something you’d see in a bakery window and tasted even better. Every time someone picked one up, they’d stop to admire it before taking a bite, and honestly, they deserved that kind of appreciation.

The biggest surprise hit, though, was the oreo sushi. It was such a clever idea, and everyone who came by our stall had the same reaction: confusion for a second, excitement the next, and then instant love after the first bite. They looked just like tiny pieces of sushi but tasted like chocolate heaven.

By the end of the day, all our trays were empty, and the dessert corner had turned into a fun hangout spot where students laughed, shared snacks, and took pictures. Even though the Math Fest was filled with problem-solving and creative math displays, it was our little food experiment that made the day extra special for us. Spending time with my friends, sharing what we made, and seeing everyone enjoy it turned the whole event into one sweet memory I’ll never forget.
